This is the ninth annual review of import controls on animal products into England, Wales and Scotland. (Northern Ireland is a separate disease control region and operates a different illegal import control system). In accordance with the Animal Health Act 1981, this report details progress made on activities undertaken to prevent the introduction of disease through the import of animal products or matters for the period April 2010 - March 2011, as well as plans for the coming year.
